Pittsburgh DOMI resumes milling/paving program in 2026 with work on portions of Forbes Ave & more

Pittsburgh milling and paving program resumes this week impacting sections of Forbes Avenue, Aylesboro Ave, Beechwood Blvd, and more.

City of Pittsburgh Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) is continuing the 2026 milling and paving program this week. Initial focus has concentrated on areas used by runners during the Pittsburgh Marathon.

The schedule for the week of May 4-8 includes portions of Forbes Avenue, Aylesboro Ave, Beechwood Blvd and more impacting commuters traveling to/from/through Oakland and surrounding neighborhoods:

  • Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6
    • Forbes Avenue between Murray & Aylesboro
    • Forbes Avenue between Plainfield & Margaret Morrison
  • Wednesday, May 6
    • Aylesboro Avenue between Murray & Wightman
  • Thursday, May 7
    • Beechwood Boulevard between Northumberland & Aylesboro
    • Urn Way between Walnut & Elmer
    • Elmer Street between Summerlea & Filbert
  • Friday, May 8
    • Filbert Street between Tara Way & Ellsworth
    • Ivy Street between Walnut & Ellsworth

Last week's milling activities impacted portions of N Braddock Ave, Frankstown Ave, East Liberty Blvd, and N Highland Ave, as well as Liberty Ave in Bloomfield.

All streets and dates are subject to change (or be postponed based on weather or other factors), but DOMI publishes the Paving Schedule on their website to make it easy to monitor upcoming dates of street resurfacing work. Additional streets may be paved through utility coordination or mechanical patching.

In advance of any milling/paving work, look for "No Parking" signs and follow the day/time restrictions noted on signage—even if there is no active work at the time. Signs should be posted at least 48 hours in advance of work beginning.
